The Roads I Travel: The Journey of Summer 2012

The summer of 2012 is a summer I will absolutely never forget. It was full of great memories that I will keep with me forever. The long nights spent on the beach, the gorgeous sunny days spent soaking up the sun rays while listening to John Mayer and Jay-Z singing at the top of our lungs. The long and bumpy boat rides on Lake Champlain up in Willsboro, NY. My favorite place in the whole world. We go up there every summer and spend about a week or so with our really close family friends. The girl who I'm friends with, Alyssa, is like a younger sister to me. She's incredible, gorgeous, and so talented with a voice like an angel! We both love to sing and so we do that a lot over the summer together. The summer of 2012 was spent not only with friends, but also with those who I love the most. I learned that summer that no matter how many mistakes I make, I will always have people around me who will always love me for who I am no matter what happens. I love that about my family. From New York, to Rhode Island, to 400 miles west to California, I know that I have family that loves me, and that is all that matters in life. Each section of my journey is separated by a '~', enjoy.

Some of my friend's friends. We all became so close, even though they were a lot younger than me. I felt like an older sister to all of them, and I fell in love with each and every one of their personalities and I know we will all cross paths again someday.

If you ever find yourself in Willsboro, NY or in Essex, NY, I recommend you visit the Dogwood Bread Company Bakery.. It is too die for. One of my all-time favorite places, hands down. From the majestic red, white, and blue building to the rustic wooden furniture and woodfire ovens inside, the whole place is just adorable.

My friend since Elementary school. She's younger than me, but that will never change anything. I have gotten through so much with this girl, and we have more in common with each other than we'll ever both know. We may not be related by blood, but I know that she will always be my sister.
